Welcome to Saint Fursey's Orthodox Christian Community Website
St. Fursey’s Church is an English-speaking Orthodox Christian community in Stalham, serving the beautiful Norfolk Broads area of England. The Orthodox Church is the ancient Christian church founded by Jesus Christ and our faith has been handed down by the Apostles’ successors in every generation to the present day. Our parish is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of the British Isles and Ireland which is part of the Patriarchate of Antioch: the current Patriarch, John X, is the 169th successor to St Peter.
We seek to bear witness to the ancient Christian heritage of the British Isles, and our patron saint is Saint Fursey who founded a Christian monastery in the seventh century only 20 miles away at Burgh Castle. Orthodoxy is a living, experiential faith, and we warmly invite visitors to “come and see” and experience our life in Christ.

Funding Appeal for Two UK Parish Communities to Become Permanent Places of Worship
His Eminence, Metropolitan Silouan Oner has written to our parish with a heartfelt appeal on behalf of two beloved parish communities: St. Constantine in York and The Twelve Apostles in Eastleigh. By the grace of God, both communities have found opportunities for permanent homes of worship. Yet these opportunities bring financial needs beyond what these communities can carry alone. If you would like to support, just click the above links for their respective GoFundMe page. Follow this link if you would like to read His Eminence’s full letter.
